Hawkeye’s Class A CDL training program offers adults the opportunity to quickly train for a high-demand career in truck driving. The program focuses on safe driving skills, including backing, turning, and driving on rural and suburban roads, using full-size semi-trucks and virtual simulators. You’ll train until proficiency in each skill is achieved, with a maximum of 6 weeks to complete. Once proficient, you’ll take your DOT vehicle inspection, skills, and driving tests at Hawkeye to earn your Class A CDL. Training is flexible, with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions available. Graduates can pursue various roles, including truck driver, spotter, and shag driver. To enroll, you must first obtain a Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) and register with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. Contact Hawkeye at 319-296-4286 for the next steps before registration.
