This beginner-friendly course includes an online eCourse, 5 hours of classroom instruction, and 10 hours of hands-on riding with a certified RiderCoach. Motorcycles are provided. The eCourse must be completed before the first day of class (access code sent two weeks prior). Riders must be able to balance a bicycle and pass both a written and skills test to earn a DOT certificate. Completion may qualify for insurance discounts.
For riders under 18: Iowa law requires this course for a motorcycle license. You must have a valid driver’s permit, completed driver’s ed, and parental consent. A parent must register the student in person at Hawkeye’s Cedar Falls Center.
