Prepare to Care is Iowa’s comprehensive Direct Care and Support Curriculum. Students will be prepared for certification as a Prepare to Care Health Support Professional and will be able to challenge the state exams to become a Direct Care Worker, be placed on the state registry, and receive certification as a CNA. Students will learn to support the basic needs of the person they serve and provide the care necessary to maintain health and support specific conditions. Instructors have certification in the curriculum, which includes training in adult learning. Methods are used to create an engaging and interactive class environment with a small instructor-to-student ratio. The course fee includes a textbook and materials, which will be given out on the first day of class.
