ClassGraphic This class is intended for the average non-martial artist who is interested in basic personal safety and self-protection. The primary focus of the class is aimed towards making individuals aware of different types of violence while giving them basic tools to avoid, deescalate, deter, and escape such encounters. Portions of the class will be hands on. A partner is recommended but not required. Youth 12+ may register. The class is taught by 6th degree black belt, Elvin Johnson. Elvin has been a student of karate for over 30 years. This class is held at the Cedar Falls Karate Club.
