Bookkeeping Specialist Certificate

A career in bookkeeping allows you to work in many different kinds of businesses and industries. This certificate course includes both theory and hands-on application and includes the following courses: Bookkeeping Level 1 & 2, Understanding & Preparing Financial Statements, QuickBooks Level 1, QuickBooks Level 2, and a Bookkeeping Practicum. Students will have the opportunity to put theory into practice, both in manual and computer program formats. The practicum is a self-paced, independent study that is completed outside of class. The classroom portion of the practicum provides students with additional assistance to complete the practicum assignments. Students must achieve 80% on the practicum assignments (one manually and one in QuickBooks) in order to qualify for the certificate. This class now aligns with Intuit's Certified Bookkeeping Professional exam administered by Certiport.
