By the time you leave this class, you will have improved your driving abilities, have a greater understanding of vehicle handling, and gain the experience to prevent, detect, and correct loss of vehicle traction. Even veteran drivers find this defensive driving course gives them the skills to handle a vehicle in adverse conditions like hydroplaning or hitting a patch of black ice. You'll learn to drive in all types of road conditions using the Skid Monster, a specially equipped vehicle that simulates adverse driving conditions at highway road speeds up to 60 mph. Law enforcement and other public safety personnel use the same simulators in car handling trainings. Note: You must have a valid driver’s license. If under 18 years of age, you must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.
