This instructional unit prepares the participant to identify how and where to make extraoral adjustments to dentures.
Instructional Objective:
After this instructional unit, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify how and where to make extraoral adjustments to dentures
2. Identify common causes of denture sores
3. Identify materials and techniques available
Minimum number of total hours:
Didactic hours: 1hour
Lab hours: 1 hour/the equivalent of, includes a minimum of two experiences.
Minimum number of patient experiences:
Clinical training: that includes a minimum of five patient experiences under observational supervision
Continuing Education Units: 5 (1 hr. didactic and 1 hrs. laboratory and clinical)
