This instructional unit prepares the participant to identify how and where to apply appropriate material to dentures.
Instructional Objective
After this instructional unit, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify Materials
2. Identify where to apply the materials
3. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of soft reline

Minimum number of total hours:
Didactic hours: 1hour
Lab hours: 1 hour/the equivalent of, includes a minimum of two experiences.
Minimum number of patient experiences:
Clinical training: that includes a minimum of five patient experiences under observational supervision
Continuing Education Units: 5 (1 hr. didactic and 1 hrs. laboratory and clinical)

Please read:  Participants must comply with 1 (one) of the following: a. Hold an active dental hygiene license in Iowa; or b. Hold an active dental assistant registration, and comply with at least one of the following: (1) Be a graduate of an accredited school; or (2) Be currently certified by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB); or (3) Have at least three months of clinical practice as a registered dental assistant; or (4) Have at least three months of clinical practice as a dental assistant in a state that does not require registration. This course must be completed within 6 months of registration. Valid email required. Please allow for up to 24 hours for an online course invite to be sent to your email.
