BBG X Fitness Instructor, Cris, will work with your fitness level and customize the workouts and moves to suit you. This class will be outside doing cardio using the natural environment to make the workout more functional and fun. This class will boost your cardio, strength, and overall fitness. You will see a difference in your stamina, energy, and appearance in eight short weeks. All you need is a pair of good running shoes. The first class will meet at Bare Bones Gym: 300 Ansborough Avenue, Waterloo.

Learn obedience tips and tricks with your canine friend. During the class, we will play games that strengthen the basics of obedience and will teach you how to create better communication between you and your dog that will encourage bonding and understanding. This is also a great opportunity to socialize your dog as time will be allowed for the dogs to mingle with each other. Must sign a waiver of liability.

If you are nurse, teacher, law enforcement, employer or just have the desire to learn a new language, this beginning Bosnian language class will teach you the basics so you are able to communicate with your Bosnian clients, neighbors, students and friends. Instructor, Vahida Dallenbach, was born and raised in Bosnia until she was 17 yrs. old. She is fluent in Bosnian and English and she will teach you the Bosnian alphabet, words for the number system and most common words used in everyday conversations. In addition, websites and other resources will be shared to help you learn more Bosnian words after class.

Here's a chance for you to learn how to fish and shoot a real bow and arrow in one fun-packed afternoon at Hick's Place located between Cedar Falls and Waverly. Be at Hawkeye's Cedar Falls Center at noon because you won't want to miss one minute of this outdoor adventure. Hawkeye will provide transportation to and from the event. There will be plenty of watchful eyes assisting at Hick's Place so there is no need to worry. All the gear including bows and arrows for the archery lesson plus fishing poles, bait and license are provided. Not only will you be introduced to archery and fishing in one afternoon, you will practice important life skills like patience, teamwork, coordination and focus. Everyone will return between 4:30 - 5:00 pm to the same location. Be prepared to be outside in the sun with sunscreen applied and a hat and/or sunglasses. Have you always wanted to make your own yarn? n this class, you will learn basic fiber preparation skills and then try out the spindle or wheel. The Northeast Iowa Weavers and Spinners Guild will supply spinning wheels and spindles for you to try, or you can bring own tools if you have them. You will leave with at least one ball or skein of your personalized handspun yarn. A $25 fiber fee will be collected at the beginning of the first class.
