To coach K-12 school-sponsored athletics in Iowa, you must be certified. Hawkeye offers courses that meet the State of Iowa requirements for coaching authorization certification.
To apply for your coaching license you must:
- Successfully complete the coaching authorization class.
- Apply to the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for your license.
- Submit payment to the State of Iowa for your license and background investigation.
